System Partitioning
The system can be partitioned into a maximum of four
independent sub-systems with individual account numbers,
keypads, user codes and relays assigned exclusively for
each sub-system. This enables one control panel to protect
up to four different areas such as storefronts, homes,
businesses, garages etc.
Common Zone
Common zones are generally used in partitioned systems
where, for example, different office departments, which are
classified as separate zones, are linked by a shared or
common corridor. An alarm will be generated from a common
zone (corridor) only if all the sub-systems are armed.
Expanded Event Log
The event log stores information regarding alarms and
system trouble. The events can be classified into tamper,
bell, keypad, distress key activation and zone activation.
The Summit 3208GLD includes a fully partitioned, expanded
event log, which records the last 100 events the system
has undergone. Additionally, the new event log shows the
events in reverse chronological order i.e. the most recent
event is shown first.
Wide Variety of Arming Possibilities
There are various methods of arming the Summit 3208GLD
that enable the user to arm the system in whichever way suits
their specific circumstances. The methods are:
Away arming - arms the system, securing the protected
environment.
Stay arming - arms the perimeter zones while allowing the
user free movement within the protected environment.
Forced arming - arms the system with zones still open on
theassumption that these zones will be secured by the end
of the exit delay.
One key arming - allows Stay and Away arming of the system
without a user code.
Immediate arming - allows the partition to be armed without
an entry or exit delay
Keyswitch arming - allows for the manual arming and
disarming of the system by the turn of a key
Distress Key Alarms
The Summit 3208GLD keypad comes equipped with three
emergency distress keys for notification purposes in the
event of fire, police or medical emergencies.
Duress Code
The duress code is designed for situations where the user
is being forced to operate the system. This code, while
performing the selected operation, sends a silent alarm to
the central station.
Bell Output Supervision - UL Listed
models only
In the event of a siren failure, the keypad will sound a constant
chime alerting the user to the problem.
3108 LCD Keypad
The 3108 LCD keypad is the ideal keypad for
any environment. The two-row liquid crystal
display walks you through operations. From
its easy operation to its attractive design, the
3108 keypad is the perfect companion to
your Summit 3208GLD control panel.
3106 LED Keypad
The 3106 LED is a low cost and
easy to use keypad suitable for
simpler installations or installations
with multiple keypads.
Zone Expander Modules
The 3508 zone expander module adds 8 hardwire zones while the 3528 wireless
zone expander module adds 8 wireless zones to the Summit 3208GLD. Install
them in the 3208GLD cabinet or mount them in their own standalone metal box,
which is available with an optional tamper switch. Choose the alternative that
best suits your requirements.
Relay Modules
Choose between the 3402 two relay module and the 3407 seven relay module
that add 2 and 7 Form-C, dry contact relays respectively. Both have 24 different
programmable operating modes offering a wide range of practical applications.
3417 Seven Output Transistor Module
The 3417 seven output transistor module adds 7
programmable, open collector transistor outputs
to the Summit 3208GLD control panel. These can
be used for several applications such as status
indication and additional bell outputs.
3722 Transformer
An optional 15 Vac, CE approved transformer is available with the
Summit 3208GLD
UHF/VHF Transmitters
The transmitters allow the Summit 3208GLD to
connect directly with Electronics Line's IGP 8000
wireless central station.
Voice Message Module
Used in conjuction with the "follow me" feature, the vocal message
module allows the user to record up to six personalized messages
that will report the type of alarm generated, This replaces the
conventional system where combinations of beeps are used to identify
the type of alarm generated.
Two-Way Audio Module
The two-way audio module provides the control panel with fully
programmable, two-way audio communication for alarm verification.
The module is microprocessor controlled and allows the central station
a number of remote command capabilities such as high-gain talk and
high-gain listen-in.
MasterLink Supervised Wireless Zone
Expander EL-2530
The EL-2530, which incorporates MaserLink's
SecuriCode
TM
technology, is designed to interface
with the Summit 3208GLD control panel. It supports
up to 64 wireless transmitters, is capable of
indentifying a large number of events and adds
up to 32 wireless zones.
Battery Cut-Off Module
The unit is connected between the control panel
and the battery and serves as a monitor for the dc
input voltage into the control panel. The unit begins
to work when the panel's dc input voltage falls below
approximately 10.2Vdc. Dc input of below this mark
results in the unit disconnecting dc input to the
control panel.
3911 Remote Programming Device
and Software
Electronics Line's remote programming software
offers a full range of programming capabilities.
Uploading and downloading of programming
parameters, log reviewing and operation
commands can be performed from a PC either
from a remote location or on-site using the
"Off-hook" feature. The toll saver feature, remote
programmer callback makes contacting the
system cost-effective and efficient and increases
the level of security.
Answering Machine Override
The answering machine override feature enables remote programming when
the control panel is connected to a telephone line shared with an answering
machine or fax.
